Were looking for a strong experienced insurance wholesale brokerage executive to lead all aspects of the company establishing and executing strategic plans that will ensure consistent business growth. This leader is responsible for acquiring new markets building out the brokerage and backroom teams and ensuring excellence in operations customer service and regulatory compliance. The President is responsible for the overall management administration build and scale of a national transportation wholesale brokerage agency.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Create the strategic vision and design of the organization Develop new product offerings and add additional insurance providers Expand agency distribution network to align with sales goals Implement industry best practices leverage existing networks and relationships and create market opportunities to grow the business Direct and influence the performance management and development culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports Create a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and values Provide comprehensive updates reports and metrics to ownership on a monthly basis Increase production and top line growth Fully manage the P&L including budgeted resources and expenses Perform related duties as assigned

Characteristics of a successful candidate:

Understanding the key levers to pull at a wholesale brokerage network Niche expertise in commercial auto and transportation insurance along with other coverages Experience leading strategic design delivery and governance of major business efforts Strong leadership skills to influence culture and organizational effectiveness A passion for developing emerging leaders via mentorship training networking and coaching Ability to understand complex issues and develop meaningful recommendations for ownership Visionary mindset with a big picture perspective Strong communication skills including business development expertise

Position Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required; Masters or MBA preferred CPCU license preferred 10 years of insurance leadership experience with at least 5 years in a wholesale brokerage Ample experience working with underwriting claims and operations in the transportation insurance industry Strong history with references on coaching developing and mentoring emerging talent and leaders Robust industry connections and key contacts of agencies producers and insurance companies Broad understanding of property casualty workers comp and transportation classes

Location and Travel:

This company is based in Lee Summit MO. The ideal candidate will be located in the Kansas City area or will travel in to the office 5 business days a month. Travel is an essential part of this job. The candidate will be expected to travel overnight 23 times a month as needed to meet with markets agencies and to attend conferences.

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $180000 to $200000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level.
