Job Summary
TYLin is looking for an CAD Technician to join our San Franciscooffice for the Bridge Team.
As a CAD Technician youll gain the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse projects including civilstructural bridge CAD production for conventional and major concrete and steel bridges retaining walls and tunnels.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You Will Do
- Prepare 2D bridge layout models (references) and sheets (contract documents). Conduct redline changes to contract drawings
- Assist in the development of bridge plans (structural and civil) including general layouts foundation plans concrete details steel details cross sections reinforcing details utility plans and exhibits
- Interpret design information from existing plans sketches redlines and visualizations to create detailed bridge plans
- Adhere to TYLins production practices and the client CAD standards
- Consult and understand design manuals local and international codes agency standards and procedures
- Actively participate in team discussions
- Maintain electronic project file organization and archives
- Document asbuilt revisions and adhere to file storage policies
- Ability to perform quantity calculations
- Other related tasks as required
What You Bring to the Team
- Basic understanding of Civil/Structural Drafting
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Revit and/or MicroStation in an engineering environment
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Acrobat/Bluebeam 3D Modeling and other engineering production software is recommended.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment
- Strong commitment to integrity consistently demonstrating ethical fair and responsible behavior
- Commitment to innovation and continuous learning with a passion for acquiring new skills and driving improvements
Your Education and Experience
- Bachelors or Associates Degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) is required
