Job Description
The New Graduate Nurse provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation and evaluation). They lead and direct other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
Position Highlights

- Unit:The Intermediate Care Unit specializes in the care of patients with a variety of acute and chronic disease processes including pulmonary neurological renal geriatric and infectious disease. Many of the patients are stepping down from the intensive care unit but still require increased nursing supervision. Other patients require an increased level of care after an unstable event occurs on a general medicalsurgical floor or they are transferring from an outside facility that cannot treat their acuity level.
- Facility:Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is a 885 bed Level 1 Trauma Center located in WinstonSalem North Carolina treating patients and families from across the region and around the world. WFBMC is the home to many medical firsts.
- Shift:Fulltime night shift
- Residency Program: New Graduate RNs at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist receive supportive training led by dedicated nurse educators including clinical orientation with a preceptor specialtyspecific learning and skillbuilding in clinical decisionmaking teamwork communication and career development.

What Youll Need
- Less than 6 months of RN experience
- Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire per unit guidelines
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire per unit guidelines
