Job Summary:
The Digital Specialist is an event AV production role that focuses on computerbased and cloudbased workflows and is adept in managing various Event Tech platforms.
Onsite this role is responsible for the successful setup operation and strike of one or more digital solutions for an assigned job/project. These solutions can include streaming capture video conferencing audience response systems presentation management digital signage and other computerdriven technologies.
Offsite this role operates a virtual event control room for a variety of online events. They will often launch an event welcome the speakers manage shared content cue talent manage chat/Q&A and then finally close the event; all while paying attention to audio/video quality across a diverse set of remote speakers.
The Digital Specialist will often be called upon to configure and QC cloudbased event technology platforms ahead of an event.
Essential Functions:
Meet with the Production Manager to better understand expectations for the assigned
service/role.
Prepare for each event by reviewing any runofshow related materials or any provided content.
Assist with loadin/loadout as needed/requested.
Setup and properly configure the equipment for the assigned service.
Operate equipment for the assigned service during the event.
Assist in configuring and testing any required software ahead of the event.
Operate a virtual event studio/control room to spec for an assigned event.
Travel to the job site (if required) that could be local national or international.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one 1 year experience working in the event industry theatrical or show production
environment.
Strong working knowledge of AV production
Strong working knowledge of video streaming and online video platforms
Required Skills & Knowledge:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed herein are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
Ability to quickly understand and manipulate various event tech platforms.
Advanced understanding of digital signal flow.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Excel and both PC and Mac operating systems.
Base knowledge in general AV production specialties for live events: Audio Video Graphics and
Digital.
