Enabling the movement toward advanced chip design KLAs Measurement Analytics and Control group (MACH) is looking for the best and brightest research scientists software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers to join our team. The MACH teams mission is to collaborate with our customers to innovate technologies and solutions that detect and control highly complex process variationsat their sourcerather than compensate for them at later stages of the manufacturing process. With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp nextgeneration devices to volume production quickly and costeffectively. Our MACH team develops leadingedge solutions for patterning process analytics and control technologies thereby providing customers with critical insight at the feature level field level and crosswafer analysis. Our teams also develop advanced modeling simulation data analytics and process control modeling technologies. As a member of the MACH team youll be joining the most sophisticated and successful processcontrol company in the semiconductor industryworking across functions to solve the most complex technical problems in the digital age.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
In this exciting role as an HPC Hardware Computer Product Engineer the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Design and implement HPC server platform for use in highvolume semiconductor fabs with high availability
Select qualify and integrate components into the final design considering cost v. performance tradeoffs.
Develop & implement test plans to assess quality of components used in manufacturing and longterm 15yr sustaining support of hardware servers
Understand and work closely with software applications hosted on server platform
Perform SWHW codesign while minimizing costs
Perform QA testing of computer hardware and validating target software applications
Evaluate effectiveness of existing server designs and recommend essential changes for continuous improvement & field support
Work with third party HW & SW suppliers and system integrators
Own beta installations and support customer field escalations
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Engineering or related discipline
5 years of handson experience building computer systems running Linux and VMware
Solid understanding of virtualization concepts
Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware
Experience deploying TCP/IP networking
System administrator level advanced programming skills using scripting languages such as Bash Perl etc.
