Background/About us:
The Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government and is at the forefront of supporting students working closely with the wider education sector to ensure all students receive the support and funding they are entitled to.
The Agency provides information advice support and funding to eligible Scottish domiciled students studying courses of Higher Education in the UK. More information can be found at www.saas

Responsibilities
About the role:
As a NEBM you will:
- Make a real impact by sharing your lived experience and insights as a student.
- Develop leadership and governance skills in a highprofile public sector organisation.
- Network with senior leaders in education and government.
- Receive training and support to help you succeed in the role.

What we are looking for:
- A strong interest in public service and student support.
- Awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing students today.
- The ability to contribute to strategic discussions and decisionmaking.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
Remuneration and Time Commitment
- Approximately 10 days per year (a mix of inperson and online meetings).
- Remuneration is 208.12 per day/104.06 per halfday. Note that this role is not pensionable.
- Threeyear term with potential for reappointment.
