About Urban Sky:
Urban Sky is a venturebacked aerospace startup that pioneers utilization of the stratosphere and reimagines the way humans view and analyze the earth. We design build operate and sell stratospheric balloon systems and the data we collect supports a wide range of applications from realtime wildfire monitoring to urban mapping. Our technology is also employed by government customers including the Department of Defense (DoD) NASA and others. Urban Sky sends flight vehicles to the stratosphere multiple times per week.
Our team consists of engineers makers developers and doers who believe in the power of human potential when passion meets empowerment within a small supportive team. At Urban Sky we strive to create a team culture grounded in candor inclusion respect and empowerment.

About The Role:
Urban Sky is scaling rapidly and were looking for a Project Manager / Scrum Master to drive effective collaboration and clear communication between our growing engineering team manufacturing operations and business stakeholders. As our projects increase in complexity and scope youll play a critical role within the engineering organization leveraging your expertise in ticket management (like Jira) and Agile methodologies to streamline workflows communicate priorities clearly and manage the of projects endtoend.
In this role youll closely partner with our engineers to understand technical requirements communicate changes effectively to manufacturing and operations and proactively align with business objectives. If youre someone who thrives while managing dynamic projects bridging technical and business teams and adapting quickly to everchanging priorities youll excel here.

This position may require the candidate to deal with commodities software technology defense articles and/or technical data which are subject to the Export Administration Regulations and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Additional information may be requested so as to determine whether export authorization is required from the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. If authorization is required employment will be contingent upon the Company successfully obtaining such authorization from the relevant government agency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning daily standups retrospectives and backlog refinement.
- Coordinate closely with engineers manufacturing and business teams to align project goals.
- Own project timelines track milestones dependencies and proactively manage risks.
- Administer and optimize ticket trackingworkflows ensuring transparency and clear team communication.
- Foster continuous improvement driving teams toward higher performance and adaptability.
- Clearly communicate project progress changes and risks to stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 3 years as a Project Manager or Scrum Master preferably in aerospace hardware or technology.
- Expertise with Agile methodologies and experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Deep proficiency in JIRA for workflow management tracking and reporting.
- Proven ability to coordinate crossfunctionally between technical and business teams.
- Outstanding organizational communication and problemsolving skills.
- Successfully guide the team and the organization on how to use Agile Practices.
- Quantify the teams current state using standard or bespoke tools (surveys gap analyses dysfunction mapping etc. create and implement improvement plans.
- Encourage a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame retribution or judgement with an emphasis on problemsolving.
- Get results without coercion assigning or dictating the work.
- Facilitate discussion decision making and conflict resolution.
- Support and educate the Product Owner especially on refinement and maintenance of the product backlog providing supplemental action as/when needed.
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Practitioner (PMIACP).
- Experience working in a fastpaced startup environment.
- Experience establishing Agile/Scrum practices from the ground up.
- Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be located near Denver CO or willing to relocate to Denver CO
- Our office is at 4800 Race St. In Denver CO and this role is onsite
Benefits:
- Salary $90000 $120000 per year
- We are required to post this salary range per Colorado law. Your salary will be determined based on your abilities and experience.
