Job Description
Our client a dynamic sports broadcaster is looking for a Senior Broadcast Engineer to plan design implement manage maintain support and operate the live digital video broadcast delivery including any direct interconnects RCN feeds Satellite Distributions broadcast systems backhaul and operation.
Project reporting to project key stakeholders related to the live digital broadcasting and networking and ensuring all SLAs are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Networking Diploma (MCSE CCNA Mikrotik)
- Networking Certification (Cisco Mikrotik Microsoft or equivalent)
- 10 years of experience in technical operations with operational involvement
- 3 years of experience in technical operations with management involvement
- 3 years of experience in development with operational involvement
- Knowledge of common operating systems
- Advanced numeric and statistical analysis (network metrics VOD subscriber statistics)
- Good understanding of linear headend and conditional access systems
- Excellent understanding of streaming technologies i.e. HLS RTMP MS Smooth Streaming Icecast HTML5
- Planning and organizing skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and faultfinding skills
- Knowledge of industry and products
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Judgment and decisionmaking skills
- DTH / IPTV / OTT / VOD / Broadcasting including Linear Content Receipt technology and Play Through Advertising Servers
