Our Chilled Water Plant Intern located at the University of Iowa campus will work closely with our plant staff. This team oversees chillers in four plants across campus and interfaces with systems in each building served by the chilled water system. The intern will gain insights into plant operations contribute to materials inventory tracking development and and learn to operate various systems.
We are actively seeking an intern available for 515 hours per week during the semester with a commitment of 40 hours per week during the summer internship program. Our operational hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm and we provide flexibility within this timeframe for start and end times. This internship is open for the Spring/Summer semester with employment planned to continue until December 31 2025.
On a daily basis you will collaborate with our Chilled Water Plant Manager as well as the operations and maintenance teams. You will participate in diverse tasks such as data collection and analysis modeling and providing recommendations for system design enhancements operational procedures preventative maintenance programs purchasing and recordkeeping systems.

Compensation
Salary Range: $21.00 $32.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
