This is a fulltime staff position at the High Point University Workman School of Dental (WSDM). This person will assist in the design implementation evaluation and continuous improvement of the WSDM Simulated Patient Encounter program across all 4 years of the DMD program. This role will facilitate the creation of simulated patient encounters manage the WSDM Simulated Patient Encounter Center and ensure maximized utilization of CAE Learning Space.

Candidates must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University. This person will report to the Director of Integrated and Applied Behavioral Sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- It is strongly preferred that the candidate have relevant simulation management experience (i.e. simulated patient encounters simulation technology patient example development assessment interprofessional education) regardless of the setting (e.g. K12 higher and/or health professions education). Strong preference will be given to candidates with simulation certifications (e.g. CHSE) experience with CAE Learning Space software experience supporting simulationbased learning in health professions settings and/or experience as an oral healthcare team member (e.g. dental assistant hygienist therapist etc..
Additional knowledge skills and abilities preferred for this role include:
- Broad knowledge of simulation management learning sciences instructional design assessment practices data management and program evaluation; application in a health professions setting is preferred
- Training and experience working with learners and educators
- Collaboration with team members to develop curriculum content assessments and resources
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft products such as Word Excel and Outlook

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The candidate selected for this position will perform all duties directed by the Director of Integrated and Applied Behavioral Sciences and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The candidate will be expected to perform the following duties including but not limited to:
Simulation and Skills Assessment Management
- Coordinate and communicate expectations of simulation to learners faculty staff and patient actors
- Collaborate with team members to design effective simulation experiences that evaluate knowledge and skills
- Collect learner faculty personnel feedback on simulation practices for quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize CAE Learning Space to collect and analyze performance data from simulations; train faculty and staff to maximize utilization
- Coordinate the faculty grading and feedback process for simulated experiences
- Identify learners in need of remediation/personalized support and facilitate personalized support plans and subsequent assessments
- Contribute to research initiatives and dissemination about the simulated education practices
- Participate in local and national simulation and health professions education organizations
- Evaluate and optimize learner educational experiences and educator training specific to simulationbased experiences
- Monitor simulation needs maintain appropriate supplies and contribute to budget management for sustainable practices
- Support didactic and experiential teaching for learners and faculty professional development where appropriate
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- This position will report to the Director of Integrated and Applied Behavioral Sciences with input from the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
- Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews are conducted along with an annual assessment by the Director of Integrated and Applied Behavioral Sciences which includes input from the faculty staff and learners.
