Manufacturing Production Manager

Northampton

DOE

Monday Friday 40hours

We have partnered with a growing business in Northampton who are looking for an experienced production manager to join their new inhouse design and manufacturing team. You will effectively oversee the production teams optimise processes ensuring high quality standards and production deadlines.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee daily production operations ensuring timely and quality completion of orders.
  • Manage the endtoend production process coordinating with design procurement and logistics.
  • Lead and develop a team of upholsterers and production staff fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet company standards.
  • Manage inventory ensuring efficient material usage and maintaining stock levels.
  • Develop production schedules and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years in managing production teams and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience in production scheduling inventory management and quality control.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

Desirable:

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in upholstery or furniture manufacturing or knowledge of upholstery techniques materials and furniture manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in upholstery techniques materials and equipment including CNC and sewing processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is desirable
