- Lead supervise and support a team of childcare workers in daytoday operations.
- Plan and implement engaging ageappropriate activities that support childrens physical emotional and cognitive development.
- Ensure all safety regulations and licensing requirements are adhered to.
- Create and maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere for both children and staff.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff including conducting performance reviews and offering constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their childs development and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of childrens activities progress and any incidents that may arise.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth and cohesive operation.
- Assist in staff training and development ensuring all employees are uptodate with current childcare practices and policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
- 5 years of experience in childcare (with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred).
- Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in childcare.
- First Aid and CPR certification (required).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to create a safe nurturing and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds.
- Patience flexibility and a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Background check clearance (required).
