Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for the Geographic Information Systems Analystposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadline at 5PM:

Geographic Information Systems Analystunder supervision are given detailed instructions in the performance of routine tasks that are more structured and repetitive. Over time incumbents develop requisite skills and knowledge and are expected to perform increasingly responsible and difficult assignments. At the discretion of the appointing authority incumbents may advance to a higher level after demonstrating the ability to perform the full journey level duties of the class.
Minimum Qualifications:Either: 1. A bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Geographic Information Systems Geography Cartography Civil Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or other field closely related to the intent of the class.
Or: 2. Four years of fulltime paid experience demonstrates the ability to perform analytical duties in geographic information systems geography cartography civil engineering computer science or information technology.
Or: 3. Four years of fulltime paid experience at SacSewer providing user support in technology system software/application and legacy troubleshooting problem resolution and review of business processes and communication of user requirements/problems to a vendor or statewide system.
Note: Education from an accredited college or university with major course work in Geographic Information Systems Geography Cartography Civil Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or other field closely related to the intent of the class may be substituted for the required experience on a yearforyear basis; 30 semester units 45 quarter units) equal one year of experience.
