Under the direction of thePartners eCare(PeC) Project Director for McLean the Application Specialist isresponsible for achieving key objectives in the Epic/ PeC planning andimplementation process for McLean. The project is extremely large inscale will cover multiple disciplines and departments and require a senior analystwho can work independently collaborate with multiple disciplines defineobjectives within the context of the larger PeC conversion plan perform anddocument detailed analysis and facilitate project teams towards buildingconsensus on how best to achieve project objectives. The project will spandefined work areas of the hospital and could include inpatientresidential/partial programs outpatient clinical and administrativefunctions.
The incumbent will usetheir clinical background to facilitate more direct work with clinicians atMcLean oncomplex clinical issues.
Responsibilities includeworking with McLean & PeC teams clinical stakeholders and IS technicalstaff to understand project scope plan and execute project plans identify/document/communicatebusiness process and facilitate resources. Assist in the implementation of theproject and assist business owners with outcomes analysis.
This position is focusedon Organization Readiness. The person who fills this position will befocused on building relationships with clinical and administrativestakeholders planning organizing and facilitating multidisciplinary meetingsand working to ensure departments and care units are organized to successfullyparticipate in pre to post go live activities.
S/he will represent theMcLean PeC project in meetings as necessary.
This role will be neededthrough McLeans go live with PeC in March of 2017 and conclude shortlythereafter.
Work to cultivate strongpositive relationships with clinical and administrative departments as well asPartners PeC team and McLean IS team members.
For defined projectcomponent develop goals objectives approach and scope in collaboration withthe McLean clinical and operational team through negotiation and diplomacy thatresult in a welldefined well sponsored project.
Turn work aroundefficiently understanding tight timelines are the norm. Areas of focuswill include:
Develop strategies andsolutions that comply with McLean standards policies practices and strategicdirections.
Primarily function as anautonomous decision maker but recognize when the involvement of seniormanagement and the appropriate leadership at MCLEAN is required.
Plan manage and overseeproject in an organized transparent and thorough fashion:
Provide ongoing clearaccurate project status reports to internal project management and user groupsdefine resource commitments necessary to appropriately implement assignedproject components. Work with project Director to ensure alignment...Provideprojectspecific direction and guidance to project team members to facilitatetimely and quality results. Monitor quality of work performed by teammembers throughout the project lifecycle.Establish and create a positiveproject team environment through leadership and mentoring. Collaboratewith our team of dedicated and enthusiastic workers.
Provide quality customerservice and serve as an exemplary representative of McLeans PeC project.Ongoing communication feedback and followthrough with customers and hospitalmanagement are essential. Understand that this process is a hugetransition for most McLean employees and requires exceptional customer serviceand emotional intelligence.
At the project levelresponsible for assigning work to project team members providing guidance anddirection and ensuring the timeliness and quality of work delivered by projectteam members. No direct reports.
Must develop and adhere toproject budget.
Perform other duties asassigned.
Bachelors degree in ahealth profession field or information/computer science MD or RNbackground desired.
5 years of experience incomputer systems or healthcare required. 5 or more years preferred.
Must have experience withmajor healthcare and/or IT initiatives.
Proven project experiencein a complex environment required.
Excellent system analysisproject management skills in a complex environment with multiple concurrentmultidisciplinary projects. Ability to implement complex projects.
Strong leadership skillsand proven ability to manage diverse group of individuals work effectivelywith multiple teams and build consensus on how to implement change in theorganization. Ability to manage staff/projects in both a direct and matrixreporting environment.
Strong organizationalplanning and tracking skills. Detail management is a must.
Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills with all levels of organization and experiencewith standard analytic tools such as Visio Excel word.
Exhibits strongprofessional persona.
Demonstrated commitment todelivery of high quality customer service.
Primarily office setting(with assigned cubicle/office space).
24x7 On Callresponsibilities for go live activities is required.
