Qualifications and Experience

Education/Degree

Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.

Preferred

Masters Degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of four years of diverse and well rounded clinical experience required.

Preferred

Experience relevant to the clinical specialties of the unit preferred.

Licensure

Current license from Massachusetts Board of Registration as Registered Nurse.

Preferred

Skills(Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills keyboarding presentation CPR ACLS etc.

Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.

Preferred

National certification in a nursing specialty preferred.

Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills working with diverse population.

Work independently be selfdirected and contribute as a member of a team.

Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.

High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.

Attention to detail.

Essential nursing leadership role within the organization with 24hour accountability for nursing care delivered on a patient care unit. Provide administrative leadership and clinical expertise to ensure that comprehensive care and treatment is rendered to patient/resident population. Human and material resources are managed to ensure that patient/resident needs are met in an efficient and costeffective manner. Participate in quality improvement and program development activities. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in the design implementation and evaluation of programs within the unit.
