Job Description
Platform Analytics and Design System Specialist
Design System
- Collaborate with design system product/design lead to collect feedback from design system customers (implementing designers and engineers) set roadmap prioritize tasks refine sprint stories and orchestrate releases.
- Lead the engineering delivery team executing components while adhering to technical and architectural best practices.
- Oversee code repo hosting distribution and dependencies ensuring accessibility and performance for consuming teams.
- Develop comprehensive engineering documentation around the design system for application engineering teams utilization.
- Consult with product team engineers for efficient implementation of the design system code repo.
- Ensure that implementing teams are uptodate with software versions or address breaking changes as needed.
- Manage technical logistics including shared codebase maintenance and Storybook assets (SSL certificates etc..
Platform Analytics
- Collaborate with the analytics program team to engage application teams facilitating their understanding of the effort and process required to implement analytics.
- Develop and refine engineering documentation centered around analytics implementation tailored for application engineering teams.
- Partner with product team engineers to implement Segment code snippets tracking plans and UUID service in applications.
- Ensure that implementing teams adapt to new software versions or address breaking changes promptly.
- Collaborate with the Database team to establish the Snowflake database for Analytics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in platform analytics implementation
- Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics Segment
- Experience working within a design system framework
- Proficiency in frontend development languages: HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with design tools such as Sketch Figma or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks (e.g. React Vue.js Angular).
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to lead an engineering delivery team
- Attention to detail and a passion for consistency.
- Problemsolving mindset.
