The School of Literatures Languages & Cultures is looking for a Research Assistant in Gaelic Medium Education (GME) Speech Recognition to join us on a fixed term parttime basis.
You will play a central role in the collection transcription and management of speech data from Gaelicspeaking children working closely with schools and local authorities across Scotland. This post offers a unique chance to directly impact language technology advancements and support educational access for Gaelicspeaking communities.
We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates particularly encouraging individuals with experience or background in Gaelic Medium Education minority languages or linguistic research. We alsoparticularly welcome applications from members of minority ethnic groups who are currently underrepresented in the School of Literatures Languages and Cultures.
This post is parttime 15.75 hours per week). We are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a noncontractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular oncampus working.
