Summary

The Senior Manager Inventory and Logistics Accounting will lead a team responsible for accounting for all aspects of inventory logistics and cost of goods sold. This role requires a strategic leader with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of standard costing and manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting for finished goods and raw materials inventory including inventory movements adjustments and valuation accuracy.
  • Manage close process for all inventory and costrelated areas including variance accounting and reconciliation of all inventoryrelated accounts.
  • Prepare periodic inventory reserves reconciliation analyzing inventory for risk and monitoring with support from internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting of inventory costs of goods sold logistics costs and other financial data.
  • Oversee maintenance of perpetual inventory system within JD Edwards
  • Manage annual standard costing process ensuring proper review and signoff and accurate system entry.
  • Oversee cycle counts and coordinate yearend inventory counts including coordination with site personnel and internal and external auditors as necessary review of book to physical reconciliations and roll forward procedures.
  • Review and confirm proper inventory classification on an annual basis.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management to inform decisionmaking on production levels product mix and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and maintain robust internal controls over cost accounting processes.
  • Work closely with SEC reporting team to ensure proper disclosure of all inventory related items.
  • Develop and implement effective and efficient internal controls throughout the inventory accounting process in accordance with SarbanesOxley (SOX).
  • Perform other related duties as required.
