Job Description
- Improve our production planning process to ensure the most efficient solutions to fulfilling customer requirements.
- Knowledge of batch optimization labor variances overhead variances and activity based costing is mandatory.
- Knowledge of current trends in manufacturing equipment.
- Show familiarity with designing processes. Working knowledge and experience in process improvement and identifiable experience with lean manufacturing.
- Manage entire order fulfillment process.
- Determine and maintain optimal inventory turns for raw materials and finished products.
- Effectively communicate production capabilities and scheduling to the organization ensuring that shipping customer service and the sales team are properly informed of status.
- Apply working knowledge of chemistry and experience with both liquid and dry product production.
- Ensure all subordinates are properly trained.
- Ability to read write and speak the English language.
- Microsoft Dynamics software experience is highly desired.
- Possess a high level of skill with Microsoft Office.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively train and communicate with and manage direct reports.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet time sensitive deadlines in a very dynamic environment.
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to represent Shepard Bros. in a professional manner.
- Three years of handson experience in production and planning.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree from a fouryear college or university or equivalent and a minimum of
- Five years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of chemicals is preferred.
