ABOUT THIS POSITION
Join the Team as a Gameplay Programmer at Digital Extremes and be part of our newest game Soulframe!
Digital Extremes is looking for a passionate and innovative Gameplay Programmer to join our team and craft unforgettable gaming experiences. As a key player in our development process youll collaborate with designers to create cuttingedge gameplay systems for nextgen platforms. Whether its refining mechanics optimizing performance or tackling ambitious gameplay challenges youll be at the forefront of shaping whats next in interactive entertainment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with designers to implement innovative gameplay systems for nextgen experiences
- Develop and maintain a highperformance 3D game engine with a focus on gameplay
- Collaborate with designers artists and engineers to ensure systems meet production needs and quality standards
- Profile debug and optimize code for performance and reliability
- Contribute innovative ideas to all aspects of game development
- Write clean robust and maintainable C code
- Other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of game development experience with at least one shipped product
- A degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or equivalent game development experience.
- Familiarity with largescale C projects profiling tools and APIs
- Experience with nextgen consoles and concurrent programming is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
