Today Vital Voices has a staff of nearly 100 headquartered in Washington DC. Weve recently been working to dramatically scale our impact in accordance with our bold vision. In early 2022 we opened the first ever Global Headquarters for Womens Leadership a 30000 sq. ft. historic building just blocks from the White House on 16th Street. It is a hub of activity events and collaborations bringing together women leaders and their allies to tackle the worlds greatest challenges.

Summary
The Events Intern will work directly under the supervision and guidance of the Director Events. This position will be responsible for assisting with the planning and day of event logistics. This role is based in Washington DC with the option of a hybrid work schedule.

Professional Qualifications:
The stipend for this 10week position is $3000 based on a 3040 hour work week and will be paid in 2 increments throughout the program. For part time interns the stipend is $1500 and based on a 1520 hour work week. This role will begin May 27th and run through August 2nd 2025. Candidates with the flexibility to extend the internship August 11 October 18 in a parttime or fulltime capacity is desired. Due to the nature of events flexibility in scheduling (including some nights and/or weekends) is required.
The internship program is a hybrid position and requires at minimum 1 day in our DC office per week for parttime interns and 2 days in office for fulltime interns. Preference will be given to interns that can be present at VVHQ at least 3 days per week due to the volume of in person events.
