Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
The Thermal Spray Technician involves set up and operation of dual wire arc and robotic spray booths.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
Preparation of components by cleaning masking and blasting.
Measure completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Use OEM and/or proprietary prints to ensure proper process completion.
Use preestablished guidelines / Shop Travelers to perform the functions of the job.
As required fabricate or modify fixtures for masking or spray process.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking bending and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting lifting carrying pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Basic Computer Skills
Work Location: Aviation Welding Technologies Uxbridge MA
Education/Training: High School Diploma
Experience: Plasma Spray experience is a plus but not required
Other: Other duties may be assigned in role to support other departments personnel or projects.
