Job Description
Job Reports To Quality Manager Purpose of Job As Quality Inspector NDT Level II you are responsible for ensuring the products we produce are of consistently high quality and adhere to relevant specifications. Training and mentoring Level I NDT Inspectors. Also you are an invaluable member of our manufacturing team ensuring the highest quality of production from receiving inspection to final inspection. Background & Experience This job requires a basic knowledge of several categories they are as follows.
- ASNTSNTTC1A NDT Level II inspection certification in MT PT UT required.
- 5 years of experience performing UT MT and PT inspections.
- 5 years of experience performing dimensional inspections using handheld inspection equipment. Such as calipers verniers OD Mics bore gages and various other tools.
- 3 years of experience using a Keyence CMM preferred.
- 3 years of experience in interpreting engineering schematics and drawings.
- 3 years of experience interpreting and inspecting GD&T requirements.
- Computer skills such as Microsoft Word Excel Adobe Acrobat and Power Point.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Good knowledge of the types of equipment repaired at our facility.
- Good communication skills.
Basic Job Duties
- Perform NDT inspections (MT PT UT) and document findings.
- Train and mentor Level I NDT inspectors
- Perform receiving inspection inprocess inspection and final inspections per company and/or customer policies to ensure products meet standards.
- Works with the Shipping & Receiving Department to package and ship customer products.
- Document issues noticed during measurement or visual inspection tests within the companys NCR database.
- Make suggestions to increase product consistency.
- Record inspections and compile final certificates of conformance (COC).
- Aid in cataloging and maintaining complete records.
- Keep all inspection areas clean.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Prolonged standing for periods of four hours.
- Bend stretch twist or reach out.
- Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
- Regularly lift 2550 lbs.
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks
- Possess fine motor skills.
