High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program nursing student or Paramedic. A minimum of oneyear experience in a Medical Assistant position is preferred. Demonstrated ability to:Communicate effectively. Problem solve Get along with others Confront issues appropriately. Must be able to speak and understand oral and written communication in English. CPR training required. Must be available to work the following schedule: Tuesdays: 9 a.m. 730 p.m. Thursdays: 9 a.m. 2 p.m. and Fridays: 9 a.m. 2 p.m. Must be available to cover extra hours including weekends when necessary.Provides and/or coordinates the delivery of a variety of patient services under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Patient services are both clinical and nonclinical in nature and include direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs performing phlebotomy and nonpatient care functions such as stocking exam rooms managing supplies cleaning instruments etc. Interacts with patients physicians and hospital personnel. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
