General Builder Carnforth Cumbria
Circa 30000 van
MacArthur Recruitment is working on behalf of a successful construction organisation who are looking for a General Builder to join them working on various domestic projects typically in the South Lakes region and north Lancashire (Morecambe Kirkby Lonsdale to Windermere Kendal however other locations are likely in the region).
This is on new housing developments refurbishments or renovations typically. Starting asap the work would be ongoing and a permanent role.
Our clients customers are very important to them and there are very high expectations on your customer care and communication skills a lot of the customers are private house owners who are living in the property or will be affected by the build. eg working deliveries around their movements having a chat with them being personable and friendly etc..
For the role of General Builder your skills should cover some of :
- Brick / block work bricklaying cement work retaining walls reinforcements
- Domestic building experience new build renovations and refurbishments
- Ideally wet trades too plastering stud work etc.
- Ideally with a digger or other plant licence (NPORS or CPCS)
- Customer facing 40 of the role is getting on with and keeping the customer happy
- Have care and pride in your work whilst completing tasks in a timely manner
- CSCS CPCS or NPORS
- Health and Safety
- Quality
- Small scale demolition (internal walls etc.
- Any other skills such as paving slabbing roofing basic joinery lintels etc
As a General Builder you will be required to undertake all general building work in a safe and professional manner. Projects are typically in the range from 500k to 1.5m.
