Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled DBA with a strong background in AWS Data Warehousing and SQLbased technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing data architectures implementing DevOps (DOPS) features ensuring secure and scalable database solutions and driving data strategy. This role requires experience in Redshift Snowflake and other data warehousing tools along with leadership skills to guide a team of data professionals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Database Administration & Architecture
- Design implement and optimize data warehouse architectures on AWS.
- Provide optimized solutions for existing data structures and infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability scalability and security of database environments.
- Manage rolebased access control (RBAC) and database security policies.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for fast .
DevOps & Infrastructure Automation
- Drive the implementation of InfrastructureasCode (IaC) for data pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to improve system deployment and monitoring processes.
- Ensure seamless integration of data solutions with cloudbased and onprem environments.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend datarelated technologies tools and platforms.
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Document processes schemas and workflows to ensure knowledge transfer and efficiency.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- 5 years of handson experience with data warehousing technologies.
- Strong expertise in AWS Redshift SQL and data architecture.
- Experience in designing and optimizing schemas for performance and scalability.
- Handson experience with DevOps and automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of data security compliance and governance best practices.
- Experience working with largescale data processing and cloudbased solutions.
- Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and ability to lead teams.
Additional Skillset (Preferred but not Mandatory):
- Experience in designing and implementing data sourcing integration and transformation processes.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ingest clean harmonize and consolidate data.
- Supporting migration of existing data transformation jobs to modern frameworks.
- Collaborating with developers and analysts to enhance data workflows and ETL processes.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in database administration.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Analytics Business Intelligence or a related field.
