The Associate Buyer is responsible for purchasing activities for assigned portfolio to ensure a high level of customer service.The role will interface daily with suppliers in ensuring that we have procured the right amount of finished goods or materials from the supplier and will mitigate and adjust requirements based on weekly planning reviews from supply planning.
What you will do:
- Maintain accurate master data in transactional systems including supplier details product info and replenishment methods.
- Communicate forecasts to suppliers for finished goods components and raw materials to ensure availability.
- Place and manage purchase orders (POs) in alignment with agreedupon procurement rules and supplier agreements.
- Monitor and adjust safety stock levels for raw materials and finished goods ensuring supply continuity.
- Act as the primary contact for suppliers addressing order changes and informing stakeholders of supply updates.
- Review supplier data for accuracy ensuring compliance with agreements and internal recordkeeping standards.
- Track and report supplier performance using key metrics (e.g. OTIF lead time compliance PO accuracy).
- Support process improvements and crossfunctional initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
What you need:
Required:
- Minimum one year of experience in purchasing or similar position
- Proficient in written and spoken German and English
- Degree in Business/Engineering/Supply Chain management
Preferred:
- Familiarity with ERP systemsieSAP Oracle JDE
- Experience in MS Office applications particularlyPowerPointand Excel.
- Previous experience in supplier relationship management
