Job Summary:

You will function as a key C17 Globemaster III Project Management specialist working as part of the C17 Beyond LineofSight (BLOS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support program management and logistics functions related to the BLOS modification including update of acquisition documentation risk identification and mitigation planning hardware shipment documentation and status tracking contract asset delivery tracking and equipment valuation reporting. You will independently collaborate with C17 functional teams to support the C17 BLOS IPT in tracking program schedules issues and actions. You will apply your expertise to support efficient and effective implementation of the C17 BLOS modification program making key contributions to enhance the C17s ability to rapidly project and sustain an effective combat force close to potential battle areas.

This is a contingent position based upon contract task award

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update or develop milestone documentation supporting the C17 BLOS programs acquisition strategy and supporting the Fielding Control Board and Milestone C approval
  • Develop and manage risk management plans for risks associated with the C17 BLOS program.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tracking of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
  • Track and maintain current status of ordered items (such as communication or SATCOM kits ARC210 radios etc)
  • Support C17 Program Management Reviews (PMRs) IPT Meetings and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance
  • Create the documents associated with the Military Equipment Valuation (MEV) process for the C17 BLOS program ensuring data reporting accuracy for each MEV data call

Work Environment:

  • Location: Onsite at Robins Air Force Base with some remote work allowable 20
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required 020
  • Working Hours: 8 hours scheduled per day with core hours. Schedule flex allowable with supervisors permission.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of experience directly related to the job requirements
  • Basic understanding of DoD Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Program processes and procedures
  • Basic understanding of DoD Instruction 5000.02 Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework

Desired Qualifications:

  • Four or more years of experience in an Air Force Systems Program Office (SPO)
  • Two or more years of experience directly related to formal tracking of acquisition program risk using the DOD RIO management Guide
  • Two or more years of experience drafting and/or updating DoD acquisition documentation in support of formal DoD acquisition programs
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certification in Program Management at Level I Practitioner or higher levels
