OVERVIEW:
Are you our next Assistant Designer Were looking for someone to join our Design team to help create world class product that speaks to the DNA of the Gymshark Consumer.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING:
- Delivery of designs under leadership of the Designer / Senior Designer.
o Consideration of quality cost and aesthetic need when designing.
o Deliver designs against the creative / design direction
o Support both creation of the styles as well as maintaining the information of the evolution of those styles throughout all products.
- Delivering work in adherence to the commercial process deadlines being solutions orientedto solve operational challenges.
- Work closely with stakeholders to maintain a cohesive Gymshark DNA
- Understanding and motivated to explore and research athlete/fitness needs and themale/female form to communicate design and fit intent with your development partners
- Understanding & researching key trends that align to Gymsharks key consumers
- Research and maintain knowledge of relevant fashion and sportswear trends.
- Research themes colours trends and fabrics.
- To be agile in high pressure working environments.
- Potential for travel both domestic and internationally.
- Support design team in creating and communicating industry standard design specificationsto crossfunctional teams.
- Maintain organisation of designs and tracking on all products.
- Concise attention to detail.
- Championing Gymshark product by maintaining a knowledge of inline Gymshark products
- Team mentality and clear communication within design team and wider cross functions.
- Push yourself to learn new skills and apply them where appropriate to improve yours and the
- teams output
WHAT YOULL NEED:
- Education in Design or Textiles (BA BFA BS)
- Ability to adapt to changing market landscape and to pivot and be flexible within the workspace as needed.
- Proficiency in in Adobe Photoshop Illustrator Excel and Microsoft Office
- Have an outstanding design portfolio
- Able to present work to an audience of key stakeholders
- Strong communication skills verbal and written
WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:
- Experience in print and patternmaking
- Knowledge of 3D design software
- Willingness to challenge and be challenged
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ Solihull UK.
