General Information:
Come be a part of the JMU community and a valuable member of the Facilities Management team! James Madison University is seeking two summer helpers for the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Shop. Relevant experience would be beneficial but not required. A willingness to learn is essential!
These positions work up to 40 hours per week start as early as April 28th and extend through August 15 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist skilled HVAC Technicians with performing preventive maintenance and repairs to include:
Changing air filters
Cleaning and servicing HVAC equipment
Performing other work as assigned
Qualifications:
Skilled HVAC Technicians will provide necessary on the job training.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must know how to safely use hand and power tools.
Applicants must be willing to learn new skills.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old as of start date.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
This is a parttime wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
