Key Features of Business Opportunity
This position will provide high quality financial planning and analytic services to support senior management decisionmaking. It supports Senior Management and institutional members in the following highvisibility areas:

Multi Year Financial Plan to meet system operating and performance targets
Annual Partners systemwide Budget and Forecast $11 Billion)
Capital Capacity Management $5 Billion 5 year plan)

This includes supporting short and longterm planning activities by enhancing the current multiyear planning tool to incorporate key elements of the changing healthcare environment.


What is Expected of You for Success in Your Role:
Demonstrate strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
Use subject matter/functional expertise to conceptualize evaluate and provide input into enhancing/upgrading strategic financial planning tool and BI capabilities
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of financial statements with emphasis on balance sheet and cash flow
Create complex analytics (statistics P&L B/S and cash flow) to elucidate key drivers and impacts of business decisions for both annual budget and multiyear planning.
Capable of working both independently and as member of a highly interdependent team
Develop effective working relationships with institutional constituents and fellow Finance colleagues
Demonstrate comfort and facility in working in a multicultural multinational environment

What is Expected of You and Others at This Level in Finance for Functional Success:
Provide analytics and prepare Annual Operating and Capital Budget presentations
Work to understand the complex set of financial assumptions underlying Partners HealthCares Multiyear Plan and contribute to enhancing this tool
Proactively develop and maintain broad knowledge of healthcare expertise and technical disciplines in own functional areas
Measure and evaluate effectiveness of analytic tools

Accountabilities in This Role
Analyze and evaluate member institution operating budgets (statistics P&L B/S and cash flows)
Review and analyze balance sheet budgets for member institutions and prepare corresponding institutional and system cash flow analysis
Prepare monthly and YTD total and operating cash flow analysis
Provide Debt Model support and collaborate with Treasury Accounting and institutions.
Collaborate with lead technical developer to implement enhancements and modify structure of applications/models
Provide detailed analytics for ad hoc projects including ad hoc analytics and reports for senior management

Qualifications
Multiyear strategic financial planning analytic and multiinstitutional modeling experience at a division corporate or consolidated level
Minimum 57 years of concentrated Financial Analysis experience
Prior employment in Budget/Financial Capital and/or Strategic Planning /Business Analysis Departments
Experience in developing creative and innovative analytical insights and planning models with high business value
Strong Excel Access systems skill set
Experience with Financial Planning Software e.g. IBM Cognos or Oracle Hyperion a significant plus
Experience with BI/Analytics/Data Visualization Software (e.g. IBM Cognos SAP Business Objects QlikView)
Health Care experience a significant plus
Strong multitasking capability and excellent team player
Prior fields: Investment Banking Corporate Strategic Planning Departments Consulting AccountingBusiness Consulting
