Job Description

Applications are invited for a nontenure trackLecturer PartTimeposition in the Department of Statistics at the University of Washington. This is amultiyear parttimeposition with a 9month service period (September 16 June 15 and an anticipated start date ofSeptember 16 2025. The base fulltime salary range for this position will be $8000 $11500 per month. Compensation level will be based on professional experience and level of assigned duties.

The primary duties of a Lecturer PartTime are instructional and they include activities such as course coordination and supervision of teaching assistants as well as departmental service. For this position the successful applicant will be expected to teach three or more classes at the Undergraduate or Graduate levels possibly cross listed across several units depending on departmental needs.



We seek candidates with experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching a wide range of courses in Statistics Data Science and/or Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence especially at the interface with the social sciences. Applicants must have an M.S. or Ph.D. degree or foreign equivalent in statistics biostatistics computer science sociology or a related field by the start of the appointment.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
