We are looking for Seasonal parttime Summer Camp Counselors to join our team! This role will lead support engage and motivate youth in our activity programs in Cincinnati OH.
You will be working approximately 25 hours per week.
This position is seasonal from May 21st through August 15th 2025. As a part of the Summer Camp Staff team you will have the opportunity to help develop youth programs and to lead and mentor program participants.Key Accountabilities
- Enthusiastically lead and support participants through program activities.
- Monitor participants to ensure compliance with rules prevent accidents and identify inappropriate behaviors.
- Proactively address and deescalate inappropriate behavior.
- Provide corrective direction to help participants learn appropriate actions and to make positive behavioral choices.
- Work with program coordinator and program staff to plan and coordinate activities.
- Maintain clean and ensure proper use of facilities and equipment.
- Supervise children ranging from ages 512 years old.
- Clean up after the children every shift.
- Play games and other activities with the children.
- Make sure the children are checked in and out by parents.
- Nurture sharing sportsmanship and other social skills.
- Escort the children to the playground and ball fields.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Child/Infant CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
- Robust ability to actively lead and engage youth.
- Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults.
- Active listing skills and ability to relate to and provide fun engaging safe activities for youth of different backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently problem solve and make decisions with limited supervision.
- Ability to be a positive role model for program participants.
