Quant Developer opportunity systematic equities startup exceptional comp potential remote working
Our client a wellbacked and fastgrowing systematic equities fund is looking to hire a capable quant developer who can assist in building out a bespoke quant platform before transitioning into a Research role. The role will be remote with occasional travel until the London office is established.
If successful you will be responsible for collaborating with existing PMs and engineers to build out bespoke end to end infrastructure for systematic equities trading from data through to research and allocation. You will have a large amount of autonomy around the preferred tech stack and approach. This work is expected to take circa 12m and after that you will maintain and improve the platform as well as carrying out quant research on a range of systematic trading strategies leveraging Machine Learning and Alt Data.
As an early hire into the business the opportunity will give you great scope for impact learning and progression (career and comp) surrounded by experts in their field and with significant longterm capital to deploy.
In order to apply you must have the following:
- Commercial experience of quantitative development (ideally 4 years)
- Past experience building out end to end systematic trading infrastructure ideally but not exclusively for equities
- Coding fluency in Python
- Excellent academics to Masters or PhD level in a STEM field from a top tier institution
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team as well as on individual research
- Bonus points for AI/ML/LLM experience leveraged within trading
