Job Description
Adjuncts teaching undergraduate courses in ASL the minimum qualifications include a masters degree in American Sign Language Deaf Culture Studies or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Adjuncts teaching graduate level courses must have a doctoral degree in American Sign Language Deaf Culture Studies or a closely related field from an accredited institution or meet the tested experience policy. Documented evidence of fluency in ASL .
Preferred Qualifications
For adjuncts teaching courses in ASL the preferred qualifications are: MA or Ph.D in American Sign Language Deaf Culture Studies or a closely related field from an accredited institution. 2 years of teaching ASL in a postsecondary setting. Documented evidence of fluency in ASL . Examples: ASLPI rating of 4/5 or SLPI : ASL rating of Advanced passing a statelevel performance exam submission of teaching demonstration with application materials. Native fluency in ASL Ability to teach courses oncampus.
