Location: Lillooet Tribal Council Office
Reports To: Emergency Management Coordinator Term: FullTime Permanent
Job Summary
The Climate Wildfire Resilience Technician is a fulltime permanent position and is responsible for developing implementing and coordinating comprehensive fire safety training programs and response plans in collaboration with participating First Nations communities and local governments. Also Community Engagement & Coordination facilitate and lead workshops handson training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Implementation: Design and deliver wildfire training programs
Community Engagement & Coordination
Research & Funding: Identify and research funding grants
Monitoring & Evaluation: Track the effectiveness of training programs
Qualifications/ Experience include: (see job descriptions for more details).
Postsecondary education in Emergency Management Environmental Studies or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of FireSmart principles wildfire risk assessment and emergency response protocols.
Must have at least two years experience working in education or a related field.
Knowledge and understanding of Sttimc culture and a proven ability to work with Aboriginal people.
Excellent writing and communication skills and a good understanding of financial management.
Strong organizational and problemsolving and criticalthinking skills.

COMPENSATION
This position is full time includes a comprehensive benefit package and a wage range of $30.00 $35.00 per hour.
