Job Description
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Debug Technician located in Austin TX.
Work Shift : 7am 3:30pm MonFri
Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager the Debug Technicians role conducts tests and troubleshoots electronic product components and systems to ensure production quality standards are met.
What a typical day looks like:
Ensures that test processes are within all safety specifications.
Coordinates and ensures that effective preventive maintenance diagnostics and daily measurement schedules are in place for each test process.
Follows Engineering test processes and guideline.
Configures/flashes firmware CPLD BIOS and PSA programming.
Troubleshoots/debugs from system to components levels. Ability to determine workmanship errors and drive back through feedbacks.
Assists with the installation debug and validation of process equipment.
Be able to troubleshoot units using schematic diagram and assembly process.
Able to read fail defect logs and address trending failures.
Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
Have experience and associate degree technical training or equivalent experience.
Requires ability to read schematicdrawing and use measurement instruments as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions
Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: schematics PCB point to point wiring; Cables: connector/ wire soldering; Testing: oscilloscope cable & harness testing trouble shooting component testing logic analyzer; Inspection: PCB loaded components cable/harness microscope
Can perform analyses/work using some independent judgment
