Job Description
KOCOTV the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City is looking for a highenergy weekend morning Anchor Reporter with proven leadership skills to join our team. In addition to credibility poise and personality; were looking for an anchor who isnt afraid to head out into the field and break the big stories. We are looking for a versatile enterprising selfstarter who is fast efficient works well under tight deadlines can develop sources and isnt afraid to jump into newscast scripts. We are looking for a weekend morning Anchor Reporter who can be a newsroom leader with a positive drive to make a difference in our newscasts and in our community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver scripted and ad lib material with professionalism personality and purpose
- Report from the field as directed by management
- Have an active presence on social media that engages the audience
- An ability to summarize information into easytounderstand components
- Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
- Appears on behalf of the station at public events
- Other duties within newscasts as directed by management
Requirements
- Proven ability to connect with viewers
- Ability to work varied shifts including overnights mornings and weekends
- Can deal with the stresses and pressures of timesensitive newscast production
- Demonstrated ability with digital media and social media
- 2 years anchoring experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years reporting experience
- Demonstrated ability to enterprise and uncover stories
- Your demo reel should be indicative of your everyday work
- Related military experience will be considered
