Job Description:
On behalf of our client we are looking for a Geographic Information Systems Analystto support one of its Federal clients. The successful candidate will create or refine maps identified through business requirements coordinate across multiple stakeholders for mapping scale and shared data provide advice and recommendations for curating data.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop GIS maps and data layers that display the distribution of select species oftentimes incorporating both vector and raster datasets in In ArcGIS 10.8 or ArcGIS Pro
Assist biologists with cartography and geospatial analysis in support of Species Status Assessment (SSA) development.
Develop workflows coordinate meetings and create approved deliverables with communication from pertinent biologists.
Follow all agency guidance and procedures with respect to System Security Plans security regulations archiving and data management procedures.
Manage GIS data and metadata for quality control and develop and complydatasetswith standardsparticular to the project requirements.
Job Requirements:
The Candidates must have the ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
The Candidates must have a bachelors degree in GIS Computer Science Environmental Conservation Ecology or a related field.
Junior Level experience in GIS development experience using Esris ArcGIS10.x and/or ArcGIS Pro.
Experience managing a GISdatabased system and familiarity with R functions.
The candidate must possess strong communication analytical time management skills problemsolving skills team leading skills and must be able to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must have experience in biological ecological and largescale environments.
