Job Description
Industrial Designer
Location: Brackenfell
Our client is a Cape Townbased company that specialises in the design manufacture and marketing of premier quality functional stainless steel wire products. They are seeking a skilled Industrial Designer to join their team. If you have a passion for product development expertise in SolidWorks and an eye for industrial design this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company that values craftsmanship and precision.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing and developing new product designs in line with customer and market requirements.
- Creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and costeffective for production.
- Assisting in product prototyping testing and refining designs for optimal functionality and durability.
- Ensuring all designs meet the hygienic and industrial standards required for food and homeware applications.
- Providing input on material selection and manufacturing processes
- Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design Product Design or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (essential).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes materials and product development.
- Ability to translate concepts into functional highquality products.
