Job Description

JOB GOAL:

Work Schedule : WashingtonHS or Jefferson HS in Cedar Rapids from 3:00pm4:00pm every Monday.

Job Description:
TRIO Talent Searchis a free educational program designed to assist firstgeneration and lowincome 6th12th grade participants in their preparation for enrollment into any college of their choice.The goal of TRIO TS is to increase the likelihood that participants graduate from high school and enroll in college. This goal is accomplished by providing participants with academic financial career and precollege advising.
TRIO Talent Search is looking to hire 2 seasonal tutors who are equipped to support 9th12th grade students in a variety of subjects. This position will be onsite at either Washington HS or Jefferson HS from 3:00pm4:00pm every Monday.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide academic tutoring in Rigorous Secondary School Courses to assigned program participants
  • Document all contacts with participants on Individual and/or Group Service Logs and turn them into the program advisors
  • Participate in team meetings every week (virtual/inperson)
  • Adhere to college and program policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors DegreeCertified Teacher
  • Preferred Fields of Study: English Mathematics Sciences or related STEM field to assist with TS areas
