Title: Manager Sales Engineering (MSG)
Location: Bangalore
Education & Relevant Experience (in brief):
- Engineering graduate in Mechanical / Industrial Production with 15 to 20 years of experience in the areas of Sales Engineering / Proposal Engineering / Machine Design / Process Engineering and Working on Tooled up SPMs HMC VMC proposals /Application engineering for HMC & VMC Tooledup machines.
- Good working knowledge on cutting tools process engineering and metal cutting operations.
- Process knowledge of Machining of component of industries like 2W/4W/Tractor/General Engineering/Aerospace/Die & Mold/etc.
- Ability to understand Customer component Drawings and having good understanding on drawings of Machines / Fixtures / machine assemblies etc;
- Good knowledge and understanding of machine sub systems/assemblies and machine accessories.
- Should be able work and prepare Component layouts Tooling layouts Fixture concepts Machine concept layouts required for Techno commercial proposals.
- Working knowledge of 2DAutocad mandatory and 3DSolidworks / Equivalent preferred.
- Ability to understand customersTechnical and Techno commercial needs.
- Understanding of commercial terms with respect to capital equipment / machinery.
- Good communication skills (Verbal & Written).
- Good working hand on MS office (Specifically MS Word Excel & MS power point is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- The purpose of this position is to understand the customer requirements and work out machine proposals / quotations to provide optimal machine configuration and solution.
- Main activity will involve working on Proposal Engineering for Special Purpose Machines Deep hole drilling machines and Special HMC/VMCs.
- Proposal / Quotation activity including making proposal machine layouts and component layouts in CAD deciding machining process Cutting tool selection Cycle time estimation Component accuracy analysis decide machine specifications working on price estimation and preparation of complete techno commercial offer.
- Visit customers at time for enquiries for understanding the requirements.
- Visit customers for technical discussions on machine proposals.
- Technocommercial support to Field Sales team for order procurement.
- Capture market feedback for product upgradation/new developments facilitate development of new products.
- Handle ISO related activities including scrutinizing purchase order received issue Order acceptance to customer Order hand over document (OHD) preparation & Budget allotment.
