Job Description
Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system providing expert pediatric care for infants children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. Ranked in multiple specialties by U.S. News & World Report we provide access to innovative treatments and therapies. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services we are the regional pediatric referral center for Floridas west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides quality psychosocial care to our patients and coordinate care with medical team. Through the coordination of care the primary purpose is to conduct a thorough assessment of patients needs understanding of the medical plan of care coping abilities and barriers to care then implement interventions and/or provide resources. Serves as an integral member of the health care team delivering psychosocial care in accordance with JHACH policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
PER DIEM ROTATING SHIFT WEEKENDS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Completion of JHACHs intern program to meet the qualifications of the Social Worker career requirements OR have successfully completed a comparable intern program in an external healthcare environment
- Excellent listening and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to document effectively in the electronic medical record
Salary Range: Minimum$36.00/hour Maximum$36.00/hour.Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
