POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with the standards policies and practices of Enloe Health. The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs coordinates patient care and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Desired:

• Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
• One year of acute psychiatric nursing experience

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Management of assaultive behavior training within one year of hire (department tracking)

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must demonstrate technical competence professional clinical judgment and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Critical thinking and analytical skills. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish a high degree of rapport and professional interaction. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
