Job Description
Minimum of a high school diploma required.
A strong educational background (Associates or Bachelors degree) in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
Monday Friday 3:00pm 11:00pm
Receiving general direction from the Security Supervisor or Charge Officer
incumbentensures a safe and secure environment; provides protective servic
and response forprotection of the people and property of the Hospital; is
responsible for assisting with thedaytoday operation of Department.
- Provide protection to people and property through patrol investigation monitoring alarms and surveillance cameras.
- Provide escorts for staff visitors and patients as requested.
- Apprehend criminal violators when necessary and appropriate.
- Provide emergency response to a variety of situations.
- Perform patient restraints as needed.
- Patrol buildings and grounds identify unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas/property to help prevent theft injuries or damages.
- Conduct preliminary investigations into thefts shortages and other complaints involving potential criminal misconduct.
- Maintain accountability for valuables/property and other forms of evidence.
- Perform morgue releases.
- Performs fire drills as required.
- Act as a first responder to HAZMAT incidents.
- Assist motorists with jump starts and lockouts.
- Prepare and submit written reports in a complete and accurate manner and log all incidents.
