Job Description
The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a Cleanroom Trainer to be responsible for preparing and delivering train the trainer and individual training to new manufacturing and production new hires and existing employees via classroom and hands on settings.
The Trainer is responsible for maintaining a deep level of understanding of Generac products and processes and simplifying the material into comprehensive training material for employees with varying levels of knowledge/technical abilities. Training will include: new hire orientation and on the floor hands on training and mentoring. The Trainer will coordinate with departments to create appropriate training content materials and training experiences as well as conduct posttraining surveys and adjusting delivery if needed.
This role will be a fulltime position based out of our Morrisville NC office.
Work Schedule: MF 7:30am4pm.
What were looking for:
- Education:
- Associates degree preferred AS/AA/AAS/AGS degree in Education Organization Development or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years training experience preferred.
- Knowledge in adult learning principles both inside and outside of traditional classroom environments.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of cleanroom processes preferred.
- Demonstrated record of developing training that drives performance improvement.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Intermediate level Excel MS Word PowerPoint Computer Internet and PC skillsto deliver training.
- Able to engage individuals and larger audiences.
- Able to teach complex technical topics to a wide range of skill levels.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language visual graphics and the ability to explain technical topics to novices.
- Ability to lead and coordinate training/development activities.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and managers at all levels.
- Strong communication and organizational skills required.
- Possesses effective coaching and assessment skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.
- Ability to understand and follow site protocols policies and procedures.
- Must be flexible forward thinking motivated and have the ability to act independently.
How you will thrive and create an impact:
- Design and implement training programs to drive associate performance both for new hires and ongoing talent development (proficiency semiannual and annual training.
- Develop training content that utilizes adult learning principles and meets training outcomes managing content updates to materials as needed.
- Create and develop training resource material schedules and curriculum; delivering a training courses both live and ondemand which includes lecture and handson training facilitating proctored assessments and written examinations.
- Remain current with trends in learning training and development research as well as new materials learning methods and techniques.
- Use training evaluation methods training feedback and insight from internal associates to measure effectiveness of training sessions and identify areas for improvement in programs and processes.
- Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce blended learning materials promoting learning through selfstudy practice performance support socialization and knowledgesharing including elearning tools.
- Coordinate and maintain classes on an annual training schedule.
- Create assessments that will monitor the skill development of the associate and the effectiveness of the training program.
- Audit associates to measure training effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Typically works in a production/cleanroom environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day. The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk hear bend/stoop squat reach above shoulder height crouch kneel balance and push/pull. Furthermore the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
