Are you ready to take on your next adventure EY is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Business Consulting to join our EU Institutions division with specific focus on Aerospace and Defence. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead drive and expand our consulting services within the public sector. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in advising clients on business transformation initiatives and developing innovative strategies within the everevolving European public sector landscape.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Space and Defence team within the EU Account and develop strategic plans to drive growth within EY Business Consulting/Public Sector.
- Build manage and cultivate relationships with public sector clients to offer business transformation advice and solutions.
- Conduct detailed policy studies including impact assessments evaluations costbenefit analyses market forecast.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to stay abreast of and anticipate public sector trends and changes proactively advising clients accordingly.
- Develop and implement robust business transformation frameworks policies and processes.
- Mentor inspire and manage a highperformance team to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Your Profile
You have:
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role preferably within consulting in the field of space and defense.
- Proven track record in developing and executing strategic business transformation programs.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of public sector frameworks and operations.
- Strong business development acumen with a demonstrated ability to grow business within the public sector including wide European bid management expertise.
- Skills in leadership client service risk management project management and team collaboration.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities with a strategic and analytical mindset.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Current knowledge of Space and Defence technology and market trends and regulations affecting the public sector with the ability to anticipate changes that may impact clients.
Example of projects:
- Study on supporting the technology and market monitoring of downstream space creating the GNSS and EO Market Report EO & GNSS Market Report EU Agency for the Space Programme (europa.eu) and developing a conceptual framework for measuring the benefits of the EU Space Programme for EUSPA
- Study on supporting the analysis of opportunities and barriers for the uptake of EU space services and the development of the EU Space Strategy for DG DEFIS
- Evaluation study on the European Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation for addressing Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness Focus on activities for the Digital and Industrial Transition for DG RTD
- Study on Union of equality: EU defence aeronautics and space sectors for DG DEFIS
- European 5G Observatory Phase III for DG CNCT
- Study on the current and prospective use of the 900 MHz band by GSM as a technology of reference considering present and future Union policies for DG CNCT
- Socioeconomic Impact Assessment of ESAs Technology Programmes: General Support Technology Programme (GSTP) and Technology Research Programme (TRP) for the European Space Agency
