Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of theMechanical teamfor Hospitality Entertainment Federal and Healthcare HVAC Design projectsin the Maitland FL office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Perform handson CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace Energy Pro DOE)
- Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
- Layout air and water side systems on working drawings
- Understand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for application
- Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
- Perform field verification and takeoffs of existing systems for renovation projects
- Coordinate with other disciplines (mep fp arch struct etc) for HVAC details
- Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects
- Understand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
- Understand both constant and variable flow systems and properly apply equipment
What your experience looks like
- 0 to 2 years in designing HVAC systems for Hospitality Entertainment and Healthcareprojects or recent graduate with internship experience in the HVAC field for construction projects including HVAC piping and plumbing.
- A Engineering Bachelors degree specializing in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering
- Auto CAD REVIT MEP familiar
- Good Written and verbal communication
- EIT Certification is desired.
