ABOUT THIS ROLE
User Experience Design is at the heart of Audibles goal to be customer obsessed. The UX team works ceaselessly to transform deep customer insights into delightful and innovative product experiences that drive business results and customer satisfaction. We are searching for a passionate and experienced Senior User Experience Designer who can utilize their design talents to ensure that Audible continues to lead through product innovation.

As a member of our innovative Discovery team you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of content exploration. Youll play a pivotal role in driving our vision leveraging AI technologies to revolutionize how listeners connect with extraordinary content and creators. As a key member of our team youll architect seamless discovery experiences that delight and inspire our customers.

Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting an intelligent intuitive discovery experience that anticipates user needs and delivers magical moments throughout the customer journey. Youll have the exciting opportunity to push boundaries and raise the bar by designing refined user interfaces implementing AIaided discovery features and solving complex usability challenges. Working across multiple platforms (iOS Android web and Amazon) youll help pioneer innovative ways to enhance the Audible experience and shape how millions of listeners discover their next favorite listen.

As a Senior UX Designer you will
Participate as a member of a UX project team; collaborating with UX peers and crossfunctional teammates from product insights & analytics engineering customer service marketing and QA
Seek to understand and refine the requirements and goals of projects from the perspective of the customer
Work iteratively to design refine and validate solutions. Using your design skills you create wireframes storyboards walkthroughs and prototypes that communicate your design ideas to the team
Graciously provide and incorporate meaningful feedback to improve you and the teams design solutions and perspectives.
Partner with User Research to ensure that your concepts meet our customers expectations and deliver the desired results
Produce documentation to ensure your designs are well understood by stakeholders and detailed enough for efficient development. You ensure that you have accounted for variations across a wide variety of devices and platforms handled error conditions and edge cases and defined usable elegant and innovative interactions
Deliver designs that promote our servicewide User Experience Strategy and utilize our UX Design System driving product coherence and continuity

5 years of experience as a user experience designer product designer interaction designer information architect or similar role
Experience designing and delivering digital products that align customer needs and business goals; illustrated with a portfolio

Able to take ambiguous design problems and work with stakeholders and user research insights to craft design solutions grounded in customer needs and business goals
Able to clearly articulate the basis of design decisions to stakeholders and respond effectively to feedback
Uses a variety of design tools to craft an effective approach estimate and plan in response to design requests
Portfolio that demonstrates delivering endtoend experiences for digital services across multiple platforms and devices
Experience in a range of design approaches methods and tools that you use to plan concept and prototype complex projects
Work that shows an understanding of assessing the overall customer experience and identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining highquality output in all deliverables
Demonstrated experience in navigating tradeoff discussions based on resource or technical constraints including knowing when to escalate appropriately to resolve issues
Confidence in pushing back on requirements and proposing alternative solutions based on qualitative or quantitative data
Experience designing and delivering solutions that address the needs of diverse customers across Audibles global markets
Experience working across large teams with multiple stakeholders
Experience designing for AIenabled features and discovery is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
