Job Description

As a Sr. Specialist Facilities youll play a crucial role in supporting facility maintenance. Youll streamline communication between the field landlords vendors and the Site Operations team ensuring clear and concise updates on current projects while actively managing progress on issues. Youll work with vendors and landlords to manage contract and lease obligations. Your responsibilities will include managing work order management across multiple stores providing analysis for the IER/Capital process and accurately identifying key property information partnering with legal. Additionally youll complete data analysis from systems like EMS Lucernex Service Channel Ecova and Oracle to support department initiatives and build business cases.

This role is hybrid which means you will be required to work some days onsite at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another nonBest Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What youll do
  • Develop and utilize reporting solutions from multiple data systems to influence leaders on decisions identify variances in monthly P&Ls and hold vendors accountable to approved bids.
  • Responsible for creating and executing a work order management strategy including managing vendor and landlord compliance lease terms and contract terms.
  • Maintains relationships with landlords and vendors to ensure open communication while negotiating and finalizing repair issues to support key business partnerships.
  • Works closely with retail teams to address location issues promptly and escalates any delays by vendors or landlords.
  • Manages tickets expenses and change requests ensuring an understanding of tradeoffs and budget implications.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time within budget and meet scope expectations.

Basic qualifications
  • 1 year project management experience
  • 3 years customer servicerelated experience

Preferred qualifications
  • 2 years of Facility Management Property Management Retail or Field Management or other real estate or property relevant experience
  • 2 years of data system management financial management or invoice management
  • 1 year negotiation experience
